Summer Math Club

In June and July of 2009, DSACK started our first math club for elementary age children.  Our first math club was designed for children in third and fourth grade.  We focused on recognizing and counting money, telling time, counting by 2’s and 5’s, and addition and subtraction.  Our goal was to help the children retain what they had learned during the school year and avoid regression before the new school year.  The children did a great job and even took a field trip to the Dollar Store.

We hope to continue this program in the summer of 2010, and would love to have a program for children in grades 1st-3rd.  This program is made possible through the efforts of parents and volunteers.  Please let us know if you are interested.
