Description: Meet at the DSACK office from 12-2 to paint, decorate and carve pumpkins! Pumpkins and materials will be provided. Please bring individually packaged Halloween treats as we will practice a trick or treating line again this year! We will also have a police officer at our meeting to talk about being safe! Costumes are welcome if you would like to dress up.

Location: Osborne’s Home, 1265 Clintonville Road in Paris
Description: DSACK Summer Picnic will be held Saturday, August 4th at the Osborne home! Last summer we had the absolute pleasure of enjoying a picnic at the Osborne home in Paris and they have invited us to do it again!! Join us for an afternoon of swimming, corn hole, basketball, games, fellowship, great food and roasting s’mores by the firepit! You don’t have to bring a thing but your family! 1265 Clintonville Road in Paris. Please mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details.

Description: Meet at the Mad Potter on Tates Creek road to create a masterpiece from the pre-approved selection of plates or mugs! This event will take place in the morning and will last 1-2 hours. This is a great event for peers and siblings to participate in and allows all students to show their creative abilities! More specific information to follow.

Description: Meet at Joseph Beth to buy a book for back to school. DSACK will purchase one book up to $10.00 for each child with Down syndrome. Siblings and peers are encouraged to attend. There will be character readers on site for our group and a variety of books will be read to children. Exact time will be announced closer to the date.

Description: Join us for a live performance of “Goodnight Moon.” We will meet at the Lexington’s Children’s Theatre located at 418 West Short Street, Downtown Lexington, KY 40507 at 1:45 to get seated together for the 2:00 show. DSACK will cover the cost of 1 child and 1 adult for this event. This is a great event for peers to attend with your child!

Description: Pool Party! Location to be announced. This event will be a private party for DSACK families and friends only. The pool will only be open to our group of siblings, peers, parents and individuals with Down syndrome. There is a baby pool and a pool that is separated into sections based on depth. Lifeguards and many volunteers will be on duty to assist and be in the water with you and your child. More information on time and location will come in May. This event will take place in the afternoon hours as we want to wait until the heat goes down.
